I Am Moving Forward Advocacy Cohort

InspireU Solutions presents The I Am Moving Forward Advocacy Cohort, which is funded by ViiV Healthcare’s Risk to Reasons Initiative. The first multi-million-dollar philanthropic investment dedicated to addressing Black women’s needs, voices, and leadership in HIV prevention and care in the U.S.

We’re proud to be fiscally sponsored by AIDS United, an organization creating real change. AIDS United works nationwide to end HIV. They support communities on the frontlines with funding, training, and advocacy. By centering people living with HIV, advancing racial justice, and promoting harm reduction, they help create healthier, more equitable futures for everyone affected.

Our mission is to empower Black women to take charge of their health by providing essential knowledge, tools, and resources for preventive care, overall wellness, and HIV prevention and care.
This training is specifically designed for all Black women who are new to advocacy. We provide education on HIV-related topics, guidance on community engagement, and opportunities to grow as leaders.
Through our work, we aim to:

-
Increase the participation of Black women in HIV prevention and care as community advocates across the U.S.
-
Address disparities and inequities faced by Black women.
-
Educate communities about the importance of care and prevention.
-
Eradicate stigma surrounding HIV.
-
Improve sexual and overall health outcomes for Black women.

Getting Our Voices Heard
Why This Work Matters to Us:
Black women and Black Trans women face disproportionately high rates of HIV and significant barriers to prevention, treatment, and care. Stigma, discrimination, poverty, unstable housing, and limited access to healthcare deepen these challenges.
At I Am Moving Forward, we’re working to change this. Our Advocacy Cohort breaks down stigma, expands access to care, and empowers Black women and Black Trans women to take charge of their health, leadership, and futures.

Together, we’re moving forward, creating a healthier future for all Black women
